About Megan

Megan is a graphic designer turned email developer who’s worked on all aspects of email marketing. She believes good emails for good causes make a positive difference in the world.

So, what do you currently do?

I work for the Harold Grinspoon’s Foundation's flagship program PJ Library, a program that sends free children’s books each month to families raising Jewish kids. The program serves Jewish families across all major continents, sending out nearly a million books a month!

Since starting at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, I have overseen the growth of the foundation’s email program, bringing it from around 10 routine emails a month, to 40+ emails a month, designing and developing parent and grandparent emails, grant opportunities, and solicitation campaigns.

In addition to working at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, in 2014 I co-founded Mango & Marigold Press (formerly Bharat Babies), an award-winning independent publishing house that shares the sweet and savory stories of the South Asian experience. Because of this work, I was featured in Mailchimp’s “What’s in Store” newsletter, where we chatted about email marketing and Mailchimp’s mobile app.

You must have a life outside of work, right?

Yes! I do! Kind of. I spend a lot of time chatting with my fellow #emailgeeks friends about...email! And other things. They're a pretty cool group of people and a wealth of knowledge in the email space.

Outside of email, I love to work out and weightlift. I'm a life-long athlete who grew up playing soccer and running track and field. I love the weight room for its supportive community and challenging workouts. Here are some lifting humble-brags:

When I'm not weightlifting, you can find me hanging out with my husband, daughter, two dogs, and bunny.
